The Easiest Way to Get Everyone Around the Fire

A fire pit creates the setting. Roasting forks create the activity. Hand one to every person around the circle and suddenly you’ve got kids toasting marshmallows, adults charring sausages, and someone trying to roast a banana they swear will taste amazing. It’s the simplest piece of outdoor gear that turns a fire from “something to look at” into “something to do together.”

The NatureStove Roasting Fork Set includes 8 telescoping forks — enough for a full family or friend group around any fire pit or campfire. Each fork extends from 12″ (for close-flame searing) to 34″ (for keeping younger hands safely away from heat). Color-coded wooden handles mean no one loses track of which fork is theirs mid-roast.

Built Better Than Disposable Sticks

Grabbing sticks from the woods works, but they burn, they’re never the right length, and you’re eating bark flakes with your marshmallow. These forks fix every problem:

  • 304 stainless steel tines. Two-prong design holds food securely without spinning. Won’t bend, rust, or break. Dishwasher safe.
  • Telescoping mechanism. Extends smoothly from 12″ to 34″ and locks at any length. No wobble or droop when fully extended with food loaded.
  • Heat-resistant hardwood handles. Comfortable to hold even when the tines are directly in flames. The wood doesn’t conduct heat to your hands like an all-metal fork would.
  • Color-coded grips. Eight different handle colors (red, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple, black, natural). No arguments about whose marshmallow is whose.

What You Can Roast

  • Marshmallows — The classic. The two-prong tine holds them stable for even toasting instead of spinning and dropping into the fire.
  • Hot dogs & sausages — Pierce lengthwise for a secure hold. Extend to 34″ and rotate slowly over coals for an even char.
  • Starbursts & candy — The kid favorite. Skewer a Starburst and hold it near (not in) the flame until the outside caramelizes. Surprisingly good.
  • Bread dough — Wrap biscuit dough around the tines in a spiral. Toast over low heat for campfire bread sticks.
  • Vegetables — Cherry tomatoes, mushroom caps, pepper strips. Quick-roast appetizers while the main course cooks on the Grill Grate Pro.

Perfect Pairing

These forks work with any open flame — our Ember 19″, the Ember XL 27″, the Spark 15″ Portable, a campsite fire ring, or your backyard fireplace. The smokeless fire pits are especially good for roasting because there’s no smoke blowing in your face while you’re leaning over the fire.

Care

  • Cleaning: Hand wash with warm soapy water or run through the dishwasher. Retract and dry fully before storing to prevent moisture inside the telescoping mechanism.
  • Storage: Store in the included canvas pouch. Keep telescoping sections retracted to avoid bending.
  • Handle care: The wood handles may darken with use and heat exposure — this is cosmetic and doesn’t affect grip or safety.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these safe for kids?

Yes — that’s the main reason they extend to 34″. Kids can roast marshmallows at arm’s length from the fire. The wooden handles stay cool even when the tines are in the flame. Supervise children under 8 as with any fire-related activity.

Do the tines hold food securely?

The two-prong design grips food much better than single-prong skewers. Marshmallows won’t spin, hot dogs stay pierced. For heavier items like sausage links, push the tines all the way through so the food rests against the fork base.

Can I replace individual forks if one breaks or gets lost?

Contact our support team — we sell individual replacement forks in all 8 colors. The stainless steel tines are extremely durable (we’ve never had a breakage report), but telescoping mechanisms can wear over years of heavy use.
